As part of our book publishing service, four to six weeks after we receive your book, you will be sent an eProof of the interior and cover along with other paperwork and instructions. Reading and checking over your own book for typos is vital to producing an error-free book. We suggest you also ask family and friends to help you with proofreading.
The proof copy is very important because you must carefully review your book word for word and record any errors that might have occurred during the conversion process and to catch any typos that might have been missed during your final proofreading that was done before submitting your book to our publishing company. Some self publishing companies have a surcharge for providing certain forms of proof copies. Be sure you understand what will be provided as part of the setup charge and what form of proof copies you must pay an additional fee for. It is essential that the proof copy be extremely representational of your finished book.
In most cases, there are several corrections to be made to the first proof book. A second proof book is almost always necessary to get the book up to your standard of what it should be.
